Do you work with twins/multiples?

Absolutely! There is no additional charge for consultations involving twins or multiples. However, siblings of different ages will require individual consultations.

Do you use Cry-It-Out?

​

I do not use the Cry-It-Out sleep training method as this can negatively impact on the parent-child bond and cause needs to be missed.  Instead, the emphasis is on addressing the sleep problems you are facing using responsive methods that are personalised to your child's needs and your family's preferences.  It is worth noting that even the gentlest of methods can result in tears.  However, by using responsive techniques you can meet your child's needs whilst also creating lasting change.

Which sleep training method do you use?

​I employ a variety of sleep training techniques, always focusing on what is best for you, your child and your preferences as a parent.  

 

What does a holistic sleep assessment mean?

​

This approach involves more than examining your child's sleep in isolation; it involves considering various interconnected factors, including your child's developmental stage, temperament, medical requirements, routines, and the family's needs. This best positions us to create the most appropriate sleep plan for creating enduring improvements in your child's sleep.  

How long will it take to sleep train my child?

​

Each child is unique, and the duration of sleep training can differ accordingly. Babies and toddlers often adapt the quickest, usually within 3-5 days.

Older children may require more time due to their bed arrangements and growing independence. Nonetheless, it's always possible to establish new sleep routines and behaviours at any age and these changes can happen quickly too.  Results are usually seen within 7 days.

Can you guarantee sleep training will work for my child?

 

​The holistic nature of your child's sleep assessment means that provided your child's plan is implemented with consistency and patience then there is no reason for it not to work.  The personalised approach adopted for each child and their family, including the incorporation of your parenting preferences, best positions you for success and support is available each step of the way. ​
